About Us
Canaltown Travel was opened by Alice Hansel, a 20 year veteran of American Airlines, in September 1976. Alice and her husband, Pres, brought their world-wide travel experience home to Palmyra to share with their clients. Alice has retired from the everyday travel agency operations.
Manager, Kathy Crandall joined Canaltown Travel in 1987. Kathy specializes in both Corporate and Leisure travel and is a Sandals and Disney Specialist. Kathy is very familiar with Florida's Walt Disney World having been there over eight times, and enjoys helping her clients plan the perfect Walt Disney World Vacation. Kathy's favorite personal travel destinations include: Ireland, Bermuda and Hawaii but she has helped clients plan vacations to Australia, Europe, Alaska, Central America and cruises around the world.
Our mascot, Maggie, who had been in the office with Kathy greeting clients and delivery people for the past 13 years, passed away in early September 2006. Please stop by and see our newest office greeter, Darby, who joined our family on Octobert 13th (yes, Friday the 13th).
