RMP Travel offers tailor made group programs to insure a memorable experience based on a true understanding of our clients' needs and goals.

RMP Travel also provides theater tickets and other independent services: hotel accommodations, restaurants, transportation, multi-lingual step-on guides, site admissions, and more.

RMP Travel specializes in unique corporate incentive and upscale group leisure programs, convention and congress hotel blocks as well as student group programs and ground logistics in all major US cities. We have expertise in event planning, corporate launches, creative theme-oriented programs, team building exercises, and finding special venues.
Our History

RMP - Restaurant Marketing Plus, Inc. was started in August 1977 by a gentleman whose background was in marketing restaurants to groups. A natural complement was to offer theatre tickets with a meal so RMP attained its license to act as a Theatre Party Agent and started selling group blocks to Broadway Shows. This developed into a healthy domestic client base that started to express needs for hotel rooms, creative itineraries, transportation and more. Thus, in 1979 RMP Travel, Inc. was started as a sister company to Restaurant Marketing Plus.... The business thrived.

In 1984, Suzi Steiger joined the company with a background working as a receptive tour operator and with Sheraton Hotels. The original owner of RMP had now decided it was time to retire and move to Florida, and arranged a gradual buyout of his company with Ms. Steiger and a partner. This became a fait a’complis on New Year’s Eve 1986.

This was a step towards greater growth and development. RMP became the ground operator in New York for Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Princess Cruises and Holland America Line. This exposure and further involvement as members of the New York Convention & Visitors Bureau, National Tour Association, American Bus Association and Ontario Motorcoach Association more firmly entrenched RMP as a major player in the industry.

Suzi Steiger bought out her partner’s investment in 1990. This became an opportunity to start courting the international market. RMP Travel started attending Pow Wow U.S.A. and Pow Wow Europe and had representation at SITE University that started establishing ourselves in the incentive market. Thus, we began hiring staff with multi-lingual capabilities. We hosted a major tour series from Great Britain with weekly arrivals and business from other countries began to follow suit.

Our market has widely expanded in recent years - maintaining our domestic client base, but increasing our international scope. We are the preferred supplier for a number of large incentive houses in Germany and many others throughout the world. Our incentive capabilities have enticed many and our creative style is unmatched. We expanded our wings some time ago to handle medical congress accommodations and land arrangements throughout the U.S. and have Sales Offices in Hamburg and London to cover representation in the U.K., Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

We now celebrate our 30th Anniversary with a very versatile staff and we actively work in New Orleans to help welcome back tourism. We welcome you and your clientele as friendly New Yorkers eager to accommodate your travel needs in New York, the Northeastern U.S., and other major cities.
